With the help of thorough research, we seek ways to knowledge and various solutions to combat the struggles that the community faces in Galmudug & Greater Somalia. Through a variety of research-based programs and campaigns, our team members and partners initiate, encourage, and support others in creating a positive change in the community. We apply and adapt our research into technical and economic aspects, helping Galmudug and Greater Somalia grow and advance as much as possible.
We organize various academic conferences and a number of workshops to promote cooperation and the exchange of ideas between academics and security policy-makers engaged in practical work. Our programs and campaigns include the following processes:
- Organizing -We focus on coalition-building, encouraging, and finding diverse dialogue participants who can contribute to message development and action planning. Also, we organize training opportunities for facilitators. It is vital to extend our hand to every possible sector to ensure that all needs are met.
- Facilitation – With the help of facilitators who maintain dialogue and equitable discussion in every circle, we create peaceful solutions. Facilitators are not only well-trained but are also good listeners who empathize with various people from different backgrounds.
- Dialogue and Action – Dialogue is achieved when people of various ages, ethnicities, and perspectives unite to reach a common goal. They listen to each other and build a healthy relationship of camaraderie. This is where action starts. By creating a deep understanding of our cause achieved through dialogue, our group arrives at a common decision to make our ideas a reality. Each participant shares a piece of their mind, all contributing to how the team may carry out the plan at hand.
- Evaluation and Sustaining Progress – Dialogue is strengthened through documentation and evaluation of every process or phase undergone. By evaluating all team efforts, we can expand and implement necessary changes for our processes to improve. This is a continuous effort. Change doesn’t happen overnight, after all. Thus, we coordinate with a reliable group or groups who can implement our plans of action. That way, we can maintain our programs and campaigns, as well as sustain our progress as we achieve our goals.
